Early Literacy Skill: Letter Knowledge

Our early literacy skill today is letter knowledge. Letter knowledge is knowing that letters are different from each other, and that letters represent sounds. Babies are too young to identify letters, but we can still build this skill. Letter knowledge starts with being able to explore and recognize shapes, and being able to distinguish between alike and different.


Little Monster’s Book of Opposites By: Frances Thomas & Ross Collins

This is a cute book full of opposites, we did them all with hand motions. It goes well with the rhyme This is Big, Big, Big.
